Well that was quite the night! A whopping 323 people were counted by the venue as having joined us to celebrate the 21st birthday of SGLBA’s Fruits in Suits. It was great to have you there.
Thanks to our models (L-R), Annika, Arun, David, and Ivan. They were naturals! We may have to do it again for Autumn / Winter 2018.
We loved having Andrew Creagh from DNA Magazine, and Elaine Czulkowski from Australians for Equality on hand to update us on the George Takei event and the latest news on marriage equality respectively, and it was a privilege to have SGLBA Life member, former SGLBA President, and founder of Fruits in Suits, Simon Davies on hand to share the history of the event and why it is still such an important fixture on our calendars.
As the equality debate continues, it’s great to see the community stepping up and supporting each other, and events / organisations.
Thanks also to the amazing SGLBA team of volunteers for the weeks of preparation and collaboration that went into the event. Great work team!

Stay in Touch
We have many events planned over coming months, varying from social, to networking, to panel-style events. If you haven’t already subscribed, you can do so here so you don’t miss out on anything.
Make sure you keep 16 November free for the next event, featuring The Bookshop selling their 2018 calendar and featuring one of the models on site to help out. It is the night after the big equality announcement, so fingers crossed, we’ll be celebrating victory – and what better place to do that than at Fruits in Suits the following night!
Christmas Fruits in Suits
NOTE: the Christmas Fruits in Suits will be held on WEDNESDAY 13 DECEMBER because the venue is not available on the usual date, which is so close to Christmas anyway, that most people may have something else on. Last year’s Christmas Fruits was early, and was a great success.
Lastly, thank you to all of you for your support. We’d love to see you every month. It was a fantastic event, and thanks for your patience if you had to queue early on.
Thanks again, stay engaged, and share with a friend / colleague.
