The role of Secretary is critical to the success of the organisation. In a broad sense he / she is the record keeper for the association.
He / she must also ensure the association is at all times, compliant with all necessary laws / policies / procedures, and that Directors are updated with any changes to those laws / policies / procedures to ensure such compliance. This is a relatively deadline oriented role.
Like all positions at the SGLBA, this is a volunteer role. It requires approximately 4 hours per week, though during the AGM period, this is a little more. It is a minimum 12 month commitment.

The SGLBA, established in 1981, is a Not-For-Profit organisation run by volunteers with nearly 400 members. It facilitates opportunities for members and guests.
We do this by delivering our members a diversity of complimentary or subsidised events, services, opportunities, and partnerships – either directly, or by partnering with other organisations.
