Every day, people and organisations from across our community help others in all kinds of ways. The Honour Awards are about acknowledging individuals, groups, and companies that have contributed to the richness of the LGBTI community over any given year.

In its eleventh year, the Honour Awards are an annual event produced by ACON which acknowledges outstanding service to or achievement within NSW’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community.

SGLBA President, Mark Haines says: “Since 2010, the SGLBA has been proud to be the presenting partner of the Business Award at the Honour Awards. We invite you to join us at the awards to celebrate the accomplishments of finalists and winners. It’s also a great opportunity to promote your business, and to vote in the various categories.

This year, the Honour Awards ceremony and cocktail party will be held from 6:30pm at the Ivy Ballroom, 330 George St, Sydney on Wednesday 27 September 2017.

About the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Business Association

Established in 1981 The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Business Association (SGLBA) was the first LGBTIQ Business Association in Australia. It was established as a safe place for LGBTIQ business people to meet like-minded professionals during a time when being LGBTIQ was still a criminal offence.

SGLBA provides opportunities to learn, network and promote services from the LGBTIQ community and its allies. We do this by delivering a diversity of events, services, opportunities, and partnerships – either directly, or by partnering with other organisations.
