Stonewall Hotel Manager Glenn Hansen accepts the 2012 Business Award

The SGLBA is excited to once again be a Community Partner for the Honour Awards held on Thursday 19 September at The Ivy, sponsoring the Business Award.

ACON President Mark Orr says the Honour Awards is about recognising and celebrating all kinds of achievements and contributions.

“Every day, people and organisations from right across our community are helping others in all kinds of ways, and the Honour Awards is about acknowledging all kinds of community service, whether big or small,” Mr Orr says. “This includes the achievements and contributions of LGBTI businesses and business people.”

Mr Orr says the partnership with SGLBA is helping the Honour Awards to grow as a community and fundraising event.

“The Honour Awards and the SGLBA are both about celebrating our community, and about people coming together to help others in our community. We’re delighted that the SGLBA is presenting the Business Award again this year and we greatly appreciate the support that the SGLBA and its members provide to ACON in relation to this event as well as other ACON activities.”
